Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software and published by Activision. Released on March 10, 2020, Warzone is a part of the larger Call of Duty franchise. In Warzone, up to 150 players drop into a large, detailed map—originally Verdansk, later updated with new locations—and compete to be the last squad or player standing. The game can be played solo or in teams of two, three, or four players.
Players begin by parachuting onto the map and must scavenge for weapons, armor, and resources. A shrinking safe zone forces players into closer proximity as the match progresses, creating intense firefights. Warzone also includes in-game contracts, customizable loadouts, and a cash system that allows players to buy killstreaks, armor, or revive teammates at buy stations. The combination of fast-paced combat, strategic decision-making, and large-scale battles has made Warzone one of the most popular entries in the Call of Duty series.
